Reach Out Cafe
Reach out Cafe, popularly known as ROC (pronounced ‘rock’) was created to establish a safe space to share ideas and thoughts while also developing a sense of belongingness among the volunteers. The platform serves not only as a space to meet like-minded individuals but also a way to get familiar with the ethos and the people that make Reach Out to Life the foundation that it is. On the second Saturday of every month, the group meets to hold space for discussions that are centered on a theme. These gatherings are open to anyone interested, whether they are active volunteers or not.
ROC transcends age, gender, occupation, and education. Depending on the theme, ideas and information are shared through discussions or interactive games. The goal of ROC has been to raise awareness about youth-related issues while fostering social interest and a sense of community. ROC has become a much-anticipated monthly event.

Workshops
Workshops are conducted across schools and colleges in Pune to help students build resilience and develop skills to navigate life’s challenges. Each workshop concludes with Reach Out Volunteers distributing “Reach Out” cards to students and faculty. These cards serve as a non-verbal plea for help—by simply presenting the card to a friend or teacher, the child is reaching out for support.
We aim to expand to 20 additional schools this academic year. Our volunteers conduct these workshops entirely pro bono as and when permissions from schools are granted.
Every volunteer undergoes an induction and training period before leading workshops. To ensure the highest quality, we have established a robust quality control process to monitor both the workshops and the trainers who conduct them in various schools.

Reach Out Helpline
To ensure that every individual can access assistance at any time, we have established an informal 24/7 telephone support system. This helpline, staffed by dedicated volunteers, has proven invaluable to those who have reached out. By offering round-the-clock support, we strive to be just a phone call away for anyone in emotional distress or need.
Our Helpline number is: +91 98810 20211
Reach Out Chat
Recognizing that many people easily connect over the internet, we have established a Reach Out Chat system. Individuals in distress can visit our social media pages (Instagram and Facebook) to engage in live chats with our volunteers. Since the chat takes place directly with our volunteers, it ensures anonymity—encouraging more people to reach out to us.

Community Outreach
Reach Out to Life Foundation’s Food Distribution Program began as a humble effort to provide meals every Monday to individuals experiencing homelessness or financial hardship. What started with a few meals quickly grew into hundreds being served weekly, leading to the initiative finding a permanent space in a generous church compound. For years, this space became a hub of nourishment and community care—until the pandemic necessitated a pause on public gatherings. Despite the disruption, the program remains a powerful example of compassion in action and our continued commitment to supporting those in need.

Reciprocity Ring
As part of its commitment to community collaboration, Reach Out to Life Foundation launched the Reciprocity Ring initiative—an effort to support fellow NGOs by fulfilling their specific resource needs. By directly reaching out to various charitable organizations, we gathered a wishlist of essential items and invited our supporters to contribute in kind. Contributors could select items they’d like to donate, and our team facilitated collection and distribution. This fostered a spirit of giving, solidarity, and mutual aid—amplifying collective impact and ensuring resources reached where they were needed most.

Butterfly project
The Butterfly Project was a heartfelt initiative designed as a coping tool, awareness program, and powerful medium of self-expression for those struggling with self-harm. Participants were encouraged to draw a butterfly on their body—naming it after someone they love or who supports them—and to protect it by resisting the urge to self-harm, allowing it to live and fly away. If drawn by a friend or loved one, the butterfly symbolized deeper connection and care. The project created space for healing conversations, solidarity, and hope—reminding young people that they are not alone, and that support is always within reach.

With strict rules promoting safety, respect, and originality, the event combined competition with community spirit.
